Kathryn Friedrich brings more than 19 years of sales, marketing, strategy and business operations expertise to Google & YouTube. She currently oversees YouTube’s global monetization strategy, working with top creators and MCNs on revenue generating strategies, content development, branded entertainment, marketing, and sales education. Prior to this role, Kathryn was Head of Video Strategy for the Americas, responsible for launching video ad products and developing Google’s video go-to-market strategy across Canada, US, and LATAM. Kathryn started at Google running the US Media & Entertainment search and display sales team, working with film, television and gaming industries to develop digital marketing strategies for some of the largest media companies in the world. She came to Google from magazine publishing where she worked in executive leadership roles at Hearst, Conde Nast, and American Express. She also worked as a senior financial consultant with KPMG after graduating with a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. She currently lives in Summit, NJ with her husband and 2 sons, and enjoys baseball, skiing and golf.
