The Law Firm of Stephen L. Ganis
After practicing for a decade in prominent New York City law firms and serving as general counsel to a nationwide investment firm, Stephen Ganis continues to counsel clients in commercial transactions, acquiring and disposing of business assets, as well as business services. Clients range in size from small start-ups to large, publicly-traded companies. A former entrepreneur, he understands how people who build their businesses are actually engaged in an extension of themselves. He takes an authentic approach to business matters and counsels entrepreneurs through business formation, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, leases and license agreements, protecting intellectual property, as well as regulatory and employment compliance. He has been a member of Crowdfund Intermediary Regulatory Advocates, Inc. (CFIRA) since 2012, the year Congress first enabled the crowdfunding law that took effect in May 2016. He is admitted to practice in both CT and NY. He received his BS from Syracuse University Newhouse School and JD from Brooklyn Law School. He is an adjunct professor of business law at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, CT.
